The Corsinis are one of the oldest and most prodigious families in the region arriving in Florence at the end of 1100. Having launched into political and ecclesiastical careers and distinguishing themselves in every field, they soon cemented their position in Tuscan society. One of the more prominent family members, Cardinal Lorenzo (1652-1740), was even elected Pope in 1730! The Principe Corsini comprises of two winemaking estates; Le Corti in Chianti Classico, acquired in 1427, with the addition of Tenuta Marsiliana further down the coast in the district of Maremma in 1759. Today, both estates are run by Prince Duccio Corsini and it's he who is responsible for the technological advances that have been made in the production of quality wine. Having recently spent time at both estates and experienced first hand the quality of what is being produced, it was only a matter of time before we introduced these stunning wines to our range.
