Beaumes de Venise is a village in Vaucluse that is most famous for its pudding wine Muscat de Beaumes de Venise. It is made exclusively from the best Muscat variety, Muscat Blanc a Petits Grains. Fermentation is arrested by the addition of alcohol to produce a wine of just over 15 per cent. It is a fragrant, delicate and refreshing wine. Domaine de Durban has particularly high vineyards and produces more concentrated, aromatic wines than the norm.
