Bodega Muga is a superb family run winery located in the Rioja Alta region on the outskirts of the town of Haro, the home of the region’s most prestigious bodegas. Their passionate pursuit of quality extends to total control over all viticulture activities, and their meticulous faith in traditional wine making methods results in the family making all of their own oak barrels and vats (the only Rioja producer to do so) and use only wood throughout the vinification process. Despite this, the wines are very modern in style.
