Long admired for the elegance of its wines, good Chambolle Musigny is complex and as powerful as Gevry Chambertin. The village is split in two by the river Grone the bustling flow of which gave rise to the name ‘Chambolle’. The village wines are produced on north facing slopes to the south of the village, the Premier Crus spread centrally through the village between the Grand Crus of Bonnes Mares and Musigny at the northern and southern tips respectively.
