Tasting notes: Owned by the Cassat family for 15 Generations since 1741 this historic property is called Ch Mauvezin. However the chateau has a 2nd label called Chateau Haut Badon . The vines are grown on this tiny vineyard of only 8 acres and have an average age of 50 years +. Here the Merlot and Cabernet grapes flourish on the clay and chalk soils of the St Emilion appellation. These soils are renowned for producing deep coloured, powerful and well structured reds that are stylish and traditional.
