La Croix du Casse stands out in Bordeaux as a property where the wine is neither fined nor filtered, but it is aged in oak barriques, 50% of which are new, for 24 months. The result is a voluptuous, rich Pomerol that oozes sweet plums, herbs and coffee accompanied by smoky vanilla oak.

It is also a relatively affordable way in to a highly prized/priced commune.
