Gerard Boudot has run this famous domaine since the death of his father in law Etienne Sauzet in 1975. His daughter Emilie has been working alongside him since 2000. When it comes to Puligny Montrachet one is either a Leflaive or a Sauzet fan and it seems to be quite polarised. To be a Sauzet fan, you need patience, for the wines always take longer to reach full maturity, owing to the higher acidity levels inherent in them. They have great intensity of flavour combined with sublime balance everything in harmony.
