One of our most popular wines and one of the best of all the Fronsac appellation situated to the west of Pomerol. This genuinely one of the best value Clarets available today and delivers good quality Right Bank wine at a very modest price. Merlot dominated claret with gentle cherry and blackberry flavours. This will drink well for another 8 years.
Tasting notes: Great concentration of fruit on the nose, with some smoky, charred meat aromas. This is lovely. Fat palate, with moderate concentration and an elegant, stylish mouthfeel. Decent flavour. Full. Finishes well. This is good. (thewinedoctor.com)

Tasting notes: The second wine of Château de la Rivière. 2005 was a great vintage for Bordeaux and has lent this wine brilliant levels of fruit purity and a stunning length. Although it will not age like its senior sibling it is a wine that is coming into its own right now and for the next 2 years. Simply awesome value for money!
