Time and time again Germany is heralded by wine writers as one of the greatest, most diverse, winemaking nations in the world. However wine writers don’t buy wine and, if it’s German, neither, on the whole, does the British public. Our German list is therefore short, and eminently manageable, sporting a dry Rheingau Riesling, a Rheingau Kabinet Riesling and a Mosel Kabinet Riesling. These wines are about delicacy, finesse and balance.
