Jacquesson

Founded in 1798, Jacquesson has transformed itself in recent years into one of the most respected Champagne Houses. They make superb hand made wines from impeccable organically grown fruit. The wines are mostly vinified in oak and are neither filtered nor subjected to a cold stabilisation, both of which strip body and character from the wine.

Tasting notes: Jacquesson ceased making non-vintage cuvées that aimed for the same taste from year to year some years ago. They also eschew the use of herbicides. They use only the cuvée from each pressing and have absolutely no hesitation, in difficult vintages, in rejecting juice which does not meet high standards.

Cuvée No. 735, so-called because it is the 735th cuvée made by the House since their Centenary Cuvée in 1898, was produced by an assemblage based on the 2007 harvest.
