Jean Marc Boillot

A grandson of Etienne Sauzet and former winemaker for Olivier Leflaive, Jean-Marc Boillot is producing excellent red and white wines. He caused waves within his family by striking out alone with the expressed intent of dragging quality higher, and now makes superb minimally-oaked Puligny from vineyards previously owned by Sauzet. His reds are powerful and aromatic – the Pommard Jarolieres is quite superb.
