McLaren Vale lies on the coast right by Adelaide. There are three distinct soil types: the sandy loams of Blewitt Springs; the darker soils of McLaren Flat; and the terra rossa over limestone soils further back near Chapel Hill. Famous for its Shiraz, this region also makes good Cabernet Sauvignons and Chardonnays.
Tasting notes: A very old world style — looks more at home in Toro, Spain than Australia. Luscious front palate sweetness, dominated by blueberry and red currants with a hint of choc mint flavour. Mid to back palate sees classic tempranillo chalky tannins that persist and make up the entire backbone of the wine.

Tasting notes: Sometimes opportunities are too good to pass up. This McLaren Vale Shiraz has a deep and intense cassis, plum and bramble nose. Rich, voluptuous and silky on the palate with creamy black fruits and a little savoury smokiness from oak. How can being an Opportunist be so bad when the wine tastes this good?
Tasting notes: Very pale straw with brilliant green hues. On the nose there is lemon rind, lime juice and subtle spice characters. A real taste-bud buster. The white peach and pear characters combine with a creamy/nutty mid-palate and are rounded off with a cleansing lemon-peel tang nish. An exceptional wine from an exceptional vintage.
Tasting notes: Shows ripe, red and black fruit characters with hints of liquorice and nutmeg spice and a little vanilla and smokiness from the oak, On the palate rich red berry fruit flavours are evident with soft and rounded tannins.
Tasting notes: The nose shows great intensity filled with plum, mocha and aniseed and secondary notes of clove and mixed spice. A dense lush mouthfeel with sweet oozy fruit. Fruit driven with well balanced velvety tannins, sweet dark plums encased in a rich mocha chocolate, supported by subtle vanillan oak.
Tasting notes: This Pinot Gris is made from hand picked graped grown in the cool climate of the Adelaide Hills. It is unoaked with hints of bread crust and pear on the nose that give way to a crisp and supple white wine.
Tasting notes: The grapes for this wine come partly from the cool Adelaide Hills, which adds aromatic lift to the wine, and partly from McLaren Vale, which adds depth to the flavour. This Viognier is pure, balanced and lively with peach and apricot aromas and a palate that is dry and crisp with good intensity on the finish.
