Michel Bouzereau

Michel Bouzereau is passionate about traditional wine making - fermentation in cask, extended lees contact, some (but not overt) new oak. His aim is to ensure that his wines will smell and taste only of wine. Michel's son Jean Baptiste is now in charge of making the wines from this 11 hectare estate, and while respecting his father’s approach, he has brought a fresher, livelier element to the wines. The Domaine offers excellent value for money and benchmark examples of each cru.

Wines from Michel Bouzereau

Producer: Michel Bouzereau
Wine: Michel Bouzereau Bourgogne Aligote 2009
Region: Burgundy Country: France
Grape: Aligote
Tasting notes: The nose of this wonderful wine shows ripe apples, peach kernel and a certain minerality. It has more weight and roundness than one would normally expect whilst a racy streak of lime cuts through the creamy texture, all finished off with a long, crisp, cooking apple like end.
