Mount Horrocks, owned and operated by winemaker Stephanie Toole, is essentially a boutique winery and produces just 4,500 cases per annum. With an emphasis on sustainable natural farming and organic practices, Mount Horrocks Wines has vineyards at three sites, totalling 10 hectares in the Clare Valley. Focusing on quality and single vineyard expressions, Stephanie describes her wines as: “essentially handmade food wines with an emphasis on structure as well as generous fruit flavours.” Each release is as consistent as it is brilliant, seemingly eclipsing the quality standard set by the previous vintage.

Tasting notes: Bright pale lemon in colour with intense aromas of lemon and lime citrus fruit with plenty of minerality. On the palate it is restrained and elegant with zesty, limey acidity and a touch of spice due to the barrel fermentation. Good weight and balance with a long, refreshing finish. One of the best value wines with the ability to age. Stock up on this and enjoy across the next 5 - 8 years!
