Tasting notes: Deep garnet-purple colored, Noon’s 2010 Eclipse offers an intense, complex nose with a core of ripe black cherries and blackberries over hints of mint, dark chocolate, violets, yeast extract and toast. Full bodied yet beautifully elegant in the mouth, it offers an excellent concentration of fruit marked by crisp acid and a medium to firm level of grainy tannins. The finish is long and layered. Still youthfully taut and primary, it should drink best 2013 to 2020+. 94/100 pts Lisa Perotti-Brown

Tasting notes: Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2010 Reserve Shiraz is a little closed at this stage, revealing a subtle earthy character over restrained notes of creme de cassis, mulberries and licorice, plus hints of cloves, lavender, spice cake, espresso and bacon fat. Very concentrated and richly fruited on the full bodied palate, the muscular fruit is well supported by a firm level of finely grained tannins with medium-high acid to lend just enough lift, finishing long. This wine is for the long haul and should drink best 2014 to 2024+.

Tasting notes: Blended of Grenache, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Graciano, 2008 Eclipse has a medium-deep garnet-purple color and intense aromas of black cherry, black raspberry, menthol, cumin and fennel seed with some white pepper and a whiff of dusty earth. Full bodied and rich, the fruit is very opulent if a little straight-forward with crisp refreshing acid, medium-firm velvety tannins and a long finish. Drinking well now, it should develop a few more layers with 2-3 years in bottle and drink to 2023+. 94/100 RP pts

-In short, due to weather conditions, the only premium red produced in 2008 was Noon Eclipse (no Reserve Shiraz or Cab produced),- reported Drew Noon. -The 2008 marks a change to the traditional blend of Grenache and Shiraz, to include a little Cabernet and Graciano fruit. We always intended for the Graciano fruit to be included in Noon Eclipse but only after 10 years in the ground do we feel the time is right to begin introducing it to the blend.
