Olivier Leflaive

In October 1984, Olivier Leflaive decided to create a new renown for the wines of Burgundy with the help of his brother Patrick and his Uncle Vincent. He had one ambitious objective in mind; to apply all the 'savoir-faire' acquired from the Domaine Leflaive to the vinification of various different red and white Burgundy 'appellations'.

Tasting notes: Bourgogne Blanc "les Sétilles" comes from a blend of vineyards in the villages of Puligny-Montrachet (60%) and Meursault (40%).The vineyard, in which we own certain parcels, adjoin communal appellations.The calcareous clay vineyards face southeast to south on flatter land.Thanks to our loyal suppliers for many years, this wine has been very successful, probably owing to the finesse and elegance it offers - a sign of its Cote d’Or origins.

Tasting notes: Situated just north-east of Meursault towards the village of Volnay, the rich soil is perfect for growing chardonnay. This wine is solid, with good concentration. It has excellent developing floral and vegetal aromas as well as umptious honey and brioche notes.

Tasting notes: The terroir of Rully 1er Cru Rabourcé is situated on the upper slopes just behind this nice village enjoying an excellent exposure facing south, with a fairly white marble and limestone soil.

The composition of the soil is responsible for the elegance and finesse of these wines expressing floral and honey aromas with a hint of citrus.

This wine is one of the benchmarks of Olivier Leflaive.
