Santenay

Santenay is a spa town. It is actually made up of two villages a kilometre apart, Santenay le Bas and Santenay le Haut. Unlike most of the villages in the southern Cote de Beaune, only 10% of its wine production is white, but when grown in the chalky clay soil, excellent fruity white Burgundy is produced.
