Enrico Teruzzi, a former jockey, and his wife, Carmen Puthod, a former ballerina at La Scala, bought this estate at San Gimignano in the early 1970s. They own some of the finest vineyards in the area and keep yields low. The winery is a model of modernity, with temperature controlled stainless steel tanks controlled by computer.

Tasting notes: Made from Vernaccia, this wine is fresh and fruity with a good balance of structure, freshness and persistance. There is a Vernaccia signature of almond on the finish and whilst outstanding as an aperitif would work equally well with fish, chicken and also certain cheeses.
