Vilmart is a family owned boutique Champagne House, founded in 1872. Laurent Champs took over the reins in 1990 and has since transformed the reputation. He started producing extraordinary cuvees fermented in new oak, which have taken the wine press by storm.

Tasting notes: "The NV Cuvee Rubis is mostly Pinot Noir aged in cask (90%), with a small addition of Chardonnay (10%) which Champs uses to give the wine a touch of freshness and elegance. This is an incredibly friendly wine that comes across more like a wine than a Champagne. The Chambolle-like perfumed fruit is striking, as is the wine’s superb balance and restrained, elegant personality. It is a superb effort at this level." Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate. 92 Points
